Bio

Mr. Petzold is a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry’s New York office, where he is a member of the Firm’s Global Financial Services Market, and a core member of the Global FinTech practice.

Mr. Petzold has conducted C-Suite search assignments for Fortune 500, as well as mid to small cap public and private companies, focused on electronic trading, financial technology, and transaction services. He is also a part of the risk management and financial officer centers of expertise. Functionally, his search work includes engagements for enterprise and divisional Chief Financial Officers, Controllers, Treasurers and their most important deputies. In addition, he has conducted Chief Risk Officer and Chief Credit Officer searches for many of the world’s largest diversified financial institutions.

Given the dynamic business landscape, Mr. Petzold has helped Boards of Directors by publishing thought leadership examining the changing nature of the finance and risk functions and the talent therein. He was also asked to lead a Leadership Assessment conference on behalf of The Risk Management Association in 2013.

Mr. Petzold joined Korn Ferry in 2009 from another leading global executive search firm. He started his career with a privately held boutique focused on the financial services industry.

He graduated from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service with a bachelor of science degree in international politics, law and ethics.

Mr. Petzold is Chair of the Young Professionals Committee, Susan G. Komen For the Cure of New York City.  He is also an active patron of the Manhattan Theater Club.
